Some news related to"The Avengers 2" is coming from San Diego Comic-Con. First off, during the "Riddick" Friday panel, a young man in an Iron Man shirt bravely asked Vin Diesel a quite off-topic question, "So, what is your 'Vision' for the Marvel movies?" referring to what Diesel wrote on his Facebook with a photo of him and an Avengers poster attached to it. Upon hearing it, the Dominic Toretto depicter in "Fast and Furious" film series smiled and said, "Why did I have to say 'one last question'? And he asked the one question I'm not supposed to talk about," he drew laughs. "What I will say," he began, as the anticipation built, "there is some very big news coming at the end of this month."
In another panel on the same day, Aaron Johnson who came to promote "Kick-Ass 2" and will be back again for "Godzilla" on Saturday gave his response to rumors that he could be the Quicksilver depicter that Joss Whedon wants for the sequel. "I don't think I can talk about that actually, but, it's definitely an exciting prospect," he admitted to MTV.
"It's a really interesting character with a really interesting background," the British actor said of Scarlet Witch's brother, who is capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds. He revealed that his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson who will direct "Fifty Shades of Grey" even got him some research material.
"My wife just went out and bought the first ever cover - a really, really vintage one - the first ever comic [to have Quicksilver on the cover]," said Johnson, whose "Kick-Ass" co-star Evan Peters has been set to play the same character in "X-Men: Days of Future Past"
The Avengers 2" is slated to be released on May 1, 2015.
