Lagos State Govt promises to Seal Houses of Residents who Hang clothes Out in Front


The commissioner who said who this during the July edition of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise also frowned at the habit cultivated by some Lagos residents of hanging their washed clothes in front of their houses, describing the practice as “primitive”, and mandated law enforcement agencies to seal such houses which presently constitute environmental nuisance in the state.
Our State House Correspondent Immanuel Odeyemi quotes Mr. Tunji Bello as saying the action has started already and will be intensified with relevant agencies enforcing the order.
The Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello has disclosed that the Lagos State Government will soon embark on the demolition of illegal buildings erected on petroleum pipelines across the state to avert possible loss of lives and properties.
